Not all burglars enter by the front door. Some slip through the dark, ask the right riddle, and vanish before anyone can check their pockets. Available exclusively in the Out of Sight edition, this drop uses a brand-new foiling treatment that catches Bilbo at the edge of visibility—present, absent, and exactly where he should not be. Artist Peter Diamond follows Bilbo from Gollum’s cave to the Hall of the Elvenking and the golden heart of Erebor, where one curious discovery turns being overlooked into a very useful talent. Just mind your step. There are older things than goblins in the deep places of the world, and some treasures are better at finding keepers than being found.
