An open-world RPG set in Paldea, a region inspired by the Iberian Peninsula. You are a student at Uva Academy and roam the region freely: you catch and train Pokémon, fight turn-based battles against Gym Leaders, and follow three parallel storylines. This edition also comes with the expansion The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, which is split into two parts: The Teal Mask, set in the land of Kitakami, and The Indigo Disk, set at Blueberry Academy. The expansion adds new areas and more than 230 Pokémon that weren’t in the base game.
